Portland S Ballpoint Pen – Bethlehem Olive No. 1

I created this Portland S ballpoint pen from Bethlehem olive wood for smaller hands or for those who prefer lighter writing instruments. The pen uses standard refills, available in most stationery shops. To make the pen truly personal, you may add engraving such as a message, monogram, important date, name, nickname, company logo and many other details. The Story of the Wood: Bethlehem olive wood comes from one of the world's oldest olive-growing regions. Olive trees have grown around Bethlehem for centuries and are associated with peace, endurance and craftsmanship. The wood used for these pens comes from carefully pruned branches, allowing the trees to continue growing.

Every pen is an original, and another identical piece will never be made. If this piece speaks to you, do not wait too long — another customer may choose it first.

Personal engraving

Each pen can be engraved with a personal dedication, message, or for example a monogram. I use a laser engraver for this. It allows me to place almost any inscription you wish onto the wooden part of the pen. For inspiration, I have prepared a short guide with more than 70 different ideas. You can also see how engraved text looks directly on the wood you like. In this gallery you will find examples of most materials I use. If you want the engraving to be clearly visible, I recommend lighter woods such as teak, zebrano, padouk or olive wood. On wenge, American walnut or bog oak, the engraving will appear more subtle.

Inscriptions are usually placed on the pen cap, either on the side or near the lower ring.
