Luxury handmade ballpoint pen Portland S made of oak from Czech forests. The cap of the pen is screw-on, so it holds firmly, and the metal components shine silver. The pen is ideal for taking notes at business meetings and appointments, and also for beautifully recording events in journals and diaries. The ballpoint pen comes packed in a luxury gift box with an enclosed certificate of authenticity.

Product detailed description

The Portland S ballpoint pen made of Czech oak was created by me for smaller hands or for lovers of lighter writing pens. The pen takes standard refills, which you can buy in any stationery shop, and to make the pen a true original you can have it engraved with a message, a monogram, an important date, a name or nickname, a company logo and much more. You will find inspiration in the engraving samples.

Every pen is an original and you will never buy the same one again. So don't hesitate and get it before somebody else snaps it up.

Pen dimensions

This pen is called Portland S and it is the smallest of the three pen types I make. The length of the closed pen is approx. 131mm. An open pen measures from the tip to the end approx. 123mm. Including the cap it weighs approx. 35-40g depending on which piece of wood is used. The part you hold in your hand while writing alone weighs approx. 25g.

Is the pen too short or too light for you? In that case I would recommend the Portland L pens, or Altos, which are somewhat larger.

The pen refill

In the pen I use blue refills from the German company Schmidt. The line width is F (fine). It is a so-called "roller", i.e. a pen with a ceramic ball filled with ink, which is also why the pen has a cap so that it doesn't dry out. You don't have to press on this type of pen the way you do with an ordinary ball
Personal dedicationEvery pen can be engraved with a personal dedication, a message, or perhaps a monogram. I use a laser engraver for this. Thanks to it I can put almost any text you wish onto the wooden part of every pen. For inspiration on what can be engraved on a pen, I have put together a short text with more than 70 different ideas. You can also see what the engraved text looks like directly on the wood you like. In this gallery you will find samples of most of the materials I use. If you want the engraving to stand out nicely, I would recommend the lighter woods such as Teak, Zebrano, Padauk or Olive.
