What refills are used in the pens?
All ballpoint pens use high-quality Schmidt refills. They are a universal size, so replacement refills can be found at any stationery shop.
What is the difference between the Portland S and Portland L pens?
The main differences are size and weight. Portland L pens are approximately 146 mm long and weigh around 60 g. Portland S pens are approximately 132 mm long and weigh around 40 g. The Portland L is therefore better suited to men with larger hands, while the Portland S is a better choice for women.

Does the pen come in a box?
Yes. The pens come in a black paper box featuring the Pera Novák logo.
Can the pen be exchanged if it turns out not to be the right gift?
Of course. As long as the pen is not damaged (visible scuffs or scratches), you can exchange it for another one at any time. If you are not sure which pen to choose, you can order a gift voucher worth CZK 100, 500, 1,000, 2,000 or 5,000. This way, the recipient can choose their own pen.
Can I have a monogram or other text engraved on the pen?
Yes. For each pen, you can choose whether you would like to have a monogram or another personal message engraved. Engraving costs CZK 250. After placing your order, I will send you a preview of the engraving and will only engrave the pen once you have approved it. The only requirement for engraving is payment in advance, as the pen can no longer be sold to another customer once it has been personalized.

Is it possible to see the pens in person?
By prior arrangement, the pens can be viewed in person in Stará Boleslav (approximately 15 km north of Prague).
How long will it take for my pen to arrive?
If you choose cash on delivery and place your order by approximately 10:00 a.m., I will ship the pen the same day and it will usually arrive the following day (depending on the speed of the postal service; delivery times may be longer before Christmas). For payments made in advance, I ship the pen as soon as the payment reaches my account.
Can I pay online by card?
Yes.
Can the ink cartridge be replaced with an ink converter?
Yes. You can order a converter for Portland S pens or for Portland L pens.
What nibs do you use for the fountain pens?
The pens come with standard medium (M) stainless-steel nibs. You can now also purchase high-quality nibs from the German company JoWo in all common sizes, from EF, F, M and B to 1.1 and 1.5.
Can you make a custom pen?

What if my pen breaks?
Our relationship does not end when you receive your new pen. I am here for you if you ever need to have it exchanged or repaired. Wood is a very living material with a mind of its own.
